Mike Briggs

Born Aberdeen Scotland June 20th 1941. Spent early childhood  living in Blackpool, then Clywd North Wales. Educated at Ruthin  School, then North Cestrian Grammar School Altrincham Cheshire.

In 1959 at the age of 18 entered the British Merchant Navy as a ships Radio Officer, traveled extensively during that time, and continued to do so for the rest of working life after leaving the Navy.

Interests; Mountaineering/Rock climbing, Fell running, photography, Buddhism, enjoys a wide range of music, but predominately ‘Blues’.

Still passionate about travel, reading, meeting people and talking too much.

Now retired and currently writing ‘The probably true adventures of my life’
